On Friday, February 21, 2025 and Saturday, February 22, we will offering a two-day seminar targeting anxiety, worry, and stress.

Our guest speaker is S. Grant Hignight, Associational Mission Strategist from the Mercer County and Thomas County Baptist Associations in Georgia.

Workshop 1: Overcoming Anxiety and Worry Through Personal Spiritual Formation
Date: Friday, February 21, 2025
Time: 6:30–9:30 p.m.

This workshop explores how personal spiritual formation can empower individuals to overcome anxiety and worry. Participants will learn to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and utilize practical tools like Bible study, prayer, worship, and solitude.

The session focuses on identifying key objectives—embracing identity, experiencing intimacy with God, and making a lasting impact—while implementing daily practices to guide personal growth. By engaging in these strategies, attendees will enhance their decision-making, thinking, and resource management, ultimately diminishing the grip of anxiety and worry in their lives.

Workshop 2: Stress First Aid: Caring Through Greater Focus and Intentionality
Date: Saturday, February 22, 2025
Time: 9:00 a.m.–1:15 p.m. (light lunch included)

Stress impacts every aspect of life, from individuals to teams and organizations. This workshop introduces Stress First Aid, a practical tool for addressing the realities of stress in its various forms—reactions, injuries, and illness.

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the Stress First Aid process, its essential principles, and how it can be applied to better care for themselves and others. With increased awareness and practical tools, attendees will leave equipped to navigate stress with greater focus and intentionality in their personal and professional roles.
